Ah, count on Melinna to work a return from Namo and the rest of the Valar. I love these two under your pen, Clodia, and I am delighted that you had the time and will to return to this story again.

Thanks, I'm very glad you enjoyed it! I hadn't meant to pick this up till I was done with the St. Ann story, but I felt like taking a more extended break in M-E than just drabbles. And now I think I should be done with this in another chapter, so maybe I'll do that next. The poor story's been lingering uncomfortably for so long, after all: it would be nice to attach An End to it.

This one's a lot of fun! I like all of them, and I like the bit in Mandos, and how Melinna finds it prosaic and reassuring and strange and wonderful all at once.

Thanks, I'm glad you've enjoyed it! It's mostly a romp, of course, and not to be taken all that seriously; but I've had fun writing it (very slowly and haltingly). :D

What a great chapter! I was grinning from ear to ear during most of the reading ( ... )

Wonderful, I am so glad you enjoyed this! But you know that, of course. <3 I've almost got the next (and last) section done, you may be pleased to know. It'll be good to put an end to this story after so long!

Lady Inez was bound to walk into the trap, especially since Mili was against it (villains have a terrible weakness to this sort of thing, I believe). Poor Mili! He means so well. You can see the stress is starting to tell on Lady Inez as her shadow slips...

And I'm glad the trip to Mandos works for you -- I wasn't quite sure how to handle that, so vagueness won out. Then I didn't want to have a whole chapter without any reference to the urchin and the dragon. :D
