Seriously. I am not amused. That wrestler-chick who macks on her cat needs to wear a fucking mask like the Japanese do. ( SNEEZING ON PEOPLE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. )
I just don't like when the writers believe that Kurt is in the right. He's not.
This. So much this. I am totally down with him being selfish and haughty and cynical and obsessive. I like flawed people on this show (hi Rachel Berry stan). Just... point out the fact that he's being wrong. I loved that he got called out for the Finn stuff in "Duets" because maaaaaan it was so upsetting that in "Theatricality" it was not acknowledged that he was being a creeper and that Finn had a point even though the language he used was foul (how happy am I that they dropped the Finn crush by the way? So happy. The picture of Blaine in his locker is still weird but at the very least this is a legit crush. Finn and Kurt being awesome step-brothers and friends would make my life). Overall they've been doing a better job with Kurt this season (loved him in "Grilled Cheesus" and "Never Been Kissed"), so this episode was kind of a disappointing backslide in that regard.
RACHEL AND KURT BFFS NEED TO BE IN MY LIFE. I mean, "Get Happy/Happy Days Are Here Again" was glorious. I think Kurt rags on Rachel because he does see a lot of himself in her and there is a self-loathing/jealousy aspect. It's just... guys. You are meant to be friends. Deal with it. In my head canon Kurt and Blaine and Rachel and Jesse are all biffle theatre dorks in New York (omg fiiiiiic).
I've read a few maybe-spoilers for the Christmas episode with regards to Klaine, and if they do not happen I will WEEP BLOODY TEARS OF WOE. Also: DNW Kurtovsky. Ever. So much side-eyeing to the fandom right now. I think the bullying storyline is interesting (mostly because of Colfer's face, always) but NO NO NO NO NO.
What I do like about bully-turned-homosexual storyline is how fabulous Chris played that kiss. And the football-jerk played it pretty well too. But Kurt, oh his face. Oh his beautiful face. But it kind of bugs me that he beats up Tina too and stuff and people are like: Oh but he just has a lot of feelings. Sad. No. I don't like this. I spend most of my life sneering at this fandom. They don't seem to understand when stuff is just not good for actual development.
OMG. That fic needs to exist. I may or may not have ideas.
I have maintained from his entrance that Blaine is Jesse St. James for Kurt. There is probs the same amount of magnificent bastard in their relationship just spread out amongst the two in different ways. Kurt does not need more bitch. Rachel does. The balance works. The world can continue to turn.
I mean, one of my favourite Kurt/Rachel moments is when she says about how she'd win because she's a girl and they have this little wave right at the end that just breaks me because they have both been hurt, and he's still far too stubborn to accept that she might be the person he needs to talk to.
SPOIL ME, TELL ME WHAT IS HAPPENING. (I have this really horrible image of Blaine having a boyfriend and Kurt finding out and it killing me.)
OH OH OH: SKIPPING HERE, WHAT DID YOU THINK OF JEFF/ANNIE-CENTRIC EPISODE?!?! My gosh. I loved it. I ship these like burning. But in a very: 'please don't let it happen properly in canon because it won't work and I really can't be dealing with more triangles in mah life'
OMG THAT KISS. Sweet Grilled Cheesus. I was legit not expecting it to happen, and I think I made the exact same face as Kurt complete with my fist making a pearl clutching motion at my face. I like the acting Chris (and Max) have been doing with this bullying storyline, but I do hope that it expands to other characters because even though gay bullying is the big thing in the media these days the other Gleeks have been bullied too.
I WILL HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO WRITE THAT FIC. Even if it's just... Rachel/Jesse, Kurt/Blaine fic (with bonus Brittaaaaaana!). Just... all of them together. Making me happy (zomg did you read that K/B fic about why Kurt hates Facebook? SO GLORIOUS).
So, I'm assuming you know that Darren and Chris sing "Baby, It's Cold Outside" on the Glee Christmas album (GOSH YOUR LIPS LOOK DELICIOUS AHHH)? It's 99.9% certain that they'll be performing it on the actual Christmas episode. Allegedly the scene takes place at Dalton with snowed in windows and a roaring fireplace and and... my brain exploded. See, this is why I keep watching the show. TO FLAIL WITH COOL PEOPLE LIKE YOU ABOUT IT. The rest of the fandom can gtfo.
ETA: I haven't seen this week's Community yet but that will be remedied POST HASTE because... I've seen gifs. WHEE.
Oh yes, I clutched my pearls. I clutched them tight and frightened. Yeah, in all fairness, Max (huh? Did not know) made this face after he kissed him and just before he went to kiss Kurt again and I was like OMMMMMMMMMG. THE ANGST. And then I thought: Shitty writers getting out of shitty writing with good acting. Not fair. But I loved Kurt's speech about punching the gay out of him; it was fantastic. And I think Chris seriously needs emmy nods and wins. When he cries, I cry. AND OMG-- HIM SINGING THE BEATLES KILLED ME. ACTUALLY DEAD. DEAD.
I DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE SINGING THIS SONG. MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE. (MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE. BABY UNNNNNF.)
YES, JUST STAY FOR ME. NO ONE ELSE MATTERS. lmao.
And DO IT. DO IT NOW. AND THEN TELL ME YOU LOVE SCRUFFY!JEFF.
Yeah, the Glee writers typically get out of shitterific writing sins because of the fabulous cast - but that's why the cast is faboo. Oh goooood "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". One of my favourite performances ever on the show. Just... I can't. My heart wants to jump out of my throat. Everything was perfect - Chris' voice, the arrangement of the song, THE FLASHBACKS OF CUTE WITH THE MINI CHRIS DOPPELGANGER. Even his outfit was fantastic and Beatles-esque.
I cannot imagine them putting that song in the Christmas episode (and by all accounts it will be) and not make Blaine the boyfriend (unless it's a fantasy sequence, and if so: boo-urns). It's just... sexysexysexy. I'm glad Blaine is the persuer in the song as well, it's a nice change of pace.
I WATCHED IT, AND LO IT WAS WONDERFUL. One of my favourite episodes evereverever actually. Suffice it to say, my heart fluttered. My Jeff/Annie-shaped heart grew three sizes.
