Trudging back over pebbles and sand, And a strange dust lands on your hands

Meeting was...interesting. The best bit was the fact that my mother was doing the whole "I'm a loving and supportive mother" act, and I must have been sitting there looking like I wanted to tear her throat out every time she spoke, and Ms DG and Westy sat there looking very confused. So I think they now think I'm a disturbed child with a troubled home life. It's really quite funny.

In other news, first paid gig last night. The set was good, but really annoying because Yen and I had to keep swapping the bass over almost every song. But it was quite funny, we were played Time Warp as our last song, and then Tom just started the Blitzkrieg drumming, Cousins and Yen started the guitar and bass lines, and all of a sudden we're screaming 'HEY HO LET'S GO' into the mikes. First time I've done Blitzkrieg, it was the most fucking awesome improv ever. YAY! I don't know how much we got paid, but it'll pay for the new snare drum skin (Tom cracked it in the first song of rehearsal on Saturday = $35) and maybe a new mike and mike stand (we don't have a stand, and our mike is fucked). It was pretty cool. Except for we didn't play until 9pm when we were supposed to play at 8pm because two of the bands out of four pulled out, one for an unknown reason but for the other one of the band members got beaten up by connex dudes.

Anyway, I had fun. And now it is casual clothes day, and I am wearing the same clothes as last night. Feels odd.
