Moving along

On the weekend I was sent a double-page composite of the final cover art. And it makes me think - wow, this is really happening. It really looks like a book! Late June....just in time for Anime Expo and Comic-Con though, I believe. *can't wait* X3

I'll let you know about any typos and stuff, haha~ :P

*can't wait* Oh......speaking of scanners, which one do you recommend? Someone told me Epson. I'm mainly looking for one that ahs a bigger scanning bed, just like you said when I showed you that comic page. Haha. :P

I will probably be going for a Canon, like my old one - it lasted five years, after all! HP is another good brand. Epson - never used one, but they seem reputable.

Yeah, they're shipping a stack of titles to be out by the mid year cons. And if you pick up a typo in a printed version...I'm not sure I'll want to know about it at that stage!

Any specific type with the scanner bed larger than 8.5 x 11? So far on the Canon site, it just has 8.5 x 11 for the scanning size.

Nope, just that standard size. I have to scan each page twice (top half and bottom half) then attach them seamlessly in photoshop. It's a pain, but larger scanners are ridiculously expensive.

I suppose I got no choice for now.Well, at least it's not impossible to do manga with 8.5 x 11 Just have to follow the trim.

I ended up buying a used Epson 836XL on Ebay to get a larger scanning bed - they're just not making them for the home market anymore.

It's just not what 'regular' folk need, I guess. I can get by without the big bed , but it's fiddly.
