Hakuba nearly dropped the book in surprise. Nearly. Instead of that, he gave to the teenager hanging over him like a parody of his own hawk, a dirty look. He tried to repress a the snarky reply that come to his lips, but it wasn’t in his nature.

“Kafka on the Shore, from Haruki Murakami.” They both just looked at each other, the moment stretching into silence, until Hakuba remembered some manners. “Please, have a seat.” He gestured towards the couch in front of him.
"Because acting like a normal person is....boring." The young detective gave him a plane glare, but he was still aware of the colourd balls. Kaito was really good at this little game, he never dropped any of them. But He was glad when Kaito stopped it and adopted a (totally fake) relaxed pose.
"I think that you already know that. And no, I'm not talking about the Kid, if you're going to joke about that. I'm talking about someone less manly (even if not much)and more affected by our last behaviors." Hakuba always liked to go to the point, there was no reasons to avoid the real meaning of their encounter.
(OOC: awww, I have to go to work again ...real life is boring D: )
