Halftime!
So it's halftime of the Saints' first home game in 14 months. We're ahead 20-3.
I am terrified. FREAKED OUT.
I'm afraid to say anything at all. Will I jinx it? Should I try for a reverse jinx? I'm paralyzed!
If you call me and you're not Carmela, I won't answer, because you're going to jinx everything by saying how good things are going. (She gets a pass because she's willing to put up with my foolishness on these matters.)
Also, I'd like to add that pausing the game for a while is definitely fun, but it means I have no time to be nervous during commercials. I get to skip all the stories about how this is America's Team and blah blah blah.
I covered that stuff in a post a year ago and it still holds true, as does my statement about bandwagons and a wooden bat.
