Siphon goodness!

I know most of you don't give a crap about such things, and if you don't care about fish tanks, just skip this whole post.

If you ever get an aquarium, you need to do water changes regularly, and it can get pretty annoying with the bigger tanks, because you should change about 30% a week.

As part of getting a new tank, I decided to get a siphon kit that hooks to my faucet and has 25 feet of tube.

And it's a dream. I may loan it to Infmom so she can get hooked. I think it's farther than 25' from their tank to their sink though. But I took out five gallons and put five in, added the dechlorinator, went back to watching the game before the halftime show was even finished.

Wish list for the tank: (just to record it for posterity)
--background (although seeing the wall behind it gives the fish this cool floating effect)
--bigger light fixture (need one 30" long, I have an 18" left over)
--different aeration effect--I've got an airstone but I need a new one and there's got to be some way to hide the tube coming in...maybe different plants...
--Ebay has this nifty easter island figure that would look so cool!

....man, I'm a geek and a half.
