Surprise!
So last night was Janel's surprise party, and I have to say, it came off without a hitch. Most of the people who we told about it actually braved the 405 and made it to Culver City.
It was a triumph for Sam and I, because she'd been complaining that nothing was going on for her birthday. It got to the point where Janel was calling me and then Sam, while the two of us were out shopping for her party. Fun stuff.
I got home at 4 am, and bed has rarely felt so blissful.
My computer had two hard drives, one for programs and one for mp3s. The second one died, the S.M.A.R.T. boot process on it won't go, so I had to disconnect it. My system runs fine without it, so I'm musicless except for internet radio for a while.
Does anyone know of a company that will recover data inexpensively? I'd hate to have to download all that crap again.
