Since last I updated on livejournal…. (a random sampler):
- I’ve seen Leonard Cohen live-the rapture!
- finished all my graduate coursework (with the exception of that pesky incomplete which I’ll complete this summer…)
- been rediagnosed with learning disabilities (go figure, my brain hasn’t radically changed in the last decade)
- made fabulous new friends (I love you infinitely, Claude & Rebecca, Micha and Jeremy)
- travelled in Southern France (Carcassone, Neims, Narbonne, et al) with my beloved brother
- found an orals advisor (yay Dave!) and developed my 3rd orals field (“Reformation Textuality”)
- taken a graduate creative writing course with Bhrati Mukherjee in which I wrote two short new pieces
- visited London, Geneva & Lyons
- attended the Sing Along Sound of Music in the Castro
- gone on a 12 mile hike with my now (gasp!) 65 year old father
- acquired more books than I have time to read
- taught for the first time and LOVED my students and teaching-clearly this is my calling
