That's approximately how long Matt Lyon and I have known each other, accordingto the calculations we made this afternoon. The numbers are a bit inaccurate, because they are not counting the exact time of day we met on May 3, 2002...but, as soon as we figure out an approximate time, the figures will be duly adjusted.

I still remember the first time I met Matt Lyon... I went with his friend Cory and some other people I knew from school to go see Spiderman. We walked into the theater, and he was sitting in line against the wall in the hallway, next to Cory's sister Jen. She said, "This is Matthew," and he smiled at me and said, "Hi, nice to meet you. Want some french fries?" We started talking after that, but I don't remember what we were talking about, just that we were cracking each other up. After that, I talked to him on the phone for a few minutes one day when I was over at Cory's and he called. Then, that same weekend, he came with Cory and Ashley to a thing with my church's youth group. We went to watch this girl's softball game, and afterwards we went to Leatherby's. We talked the whole time, and he ordered the Jennifer's Brownie Delight, and I ordered the Matthew's Small Sundae.... awwww how cute!! And we've been friends ever since.
