You know, considering that he had Injured Billy Idol and Ford Fairlane footage (AUGH) of a guy who wasn't even allowed to be on MTV to work with, I feel like he did a pretty good job.

Yeah--and I always wondered to what extent it was supposed to be real and not just his fantasy, I mean, with the way she just marches up to his door all like HI CAN I JAILBAIT FOR A FEW MINUTES and then when she leaves, her entire outfit is miraculously restored, even though the last we saw, her shoes were in the aquarium and her shirt was in the sink.

I also have always wondered how old the girl was in real life.

Betsy Lynn George was the model who played Devon. She was 19 when the video came out.

I see little hints of the "destructive-force-of-nature" character of Marla Singer in her: an appealing face of chaos.
