Quiet evening

So on one hand, I'm turning thirty in a couple of weeks and I'm having another one of those days where all I really want is someone warm to curl up next to at night but instead I'm going to die alone and the only reason anyone's even going to notice I went missing is because they're going to wonder why my journal hasn't been updated in a week

Oh, wow. See, I would really like a ring, but I would also like the guy to wear one. And I would like to keep my name on general principle, except that I have HUUUUUUUGE family issues and would like to get rid of it ASAP. I didn't take my stepfather's name because he didn't even enter the picture until I was 22, so that would have been kind of weird. Also, it would have caused more family strife than it would have been worth. So basically, the only acceptable ways to change my name would be to get married... and use a pseudonym for my writing. DUN DUN DUNNNNN.

I think if I found a guy named Cullen, I'd make him take my name.

I actually keep drooling over insanely expensive Edwardian-era diamond rings that I almost just want to buy myself (in my daydreams where I win the lottery) for the hell of it. I also like moonstones, though. Cut moonstones in a nice setting could be interesting.

I wanted to put inside my husband's ring "Victory is Mine" but was talked out of it. Shame too.

HA! I just so happen to wear a ring with "Don't Panic" engraved on the inside band. Glad it's not just me who fines this funny/appropriate/awesome.
