Quiet evening
So on one hand, I'm turning thirty in a couple of weeks and I'm having another one of those days where all I really want is someone warm to curl up next to at night but instead I'm going to die alone and the only reason anyone's even going to notice I went missing is because they're going to wonder why my journal hasn't been updated in a week.
On the other hand, my hair looks fantastic today.
So it goes.
(I'm kind of weird about relationships, though--I'd really like someone around to have fun with, but I'm not interested in weddings at all. Sister Girl was going over her long-cherished wedding plans--like, since she was in grade school--and how she wants a cherry blossom theme, so her colors will be champagne and a color I can only describe as "bubblegum purple," although I don't know if that makes any sense, and I was all like, "My colors are 'Las' and 'Vegas.' " I mean, I guess I could have a whole wedding if the guy and/or his family just really wanted one, but I would much rather have some wild romantic elopement and be done with it. We could have a big party when we got home if people just really needed some kind of gathering. This entire discussion is moot, of course, as I haven't been out on so much as a date in years anyway. I keep trying to remind myself--for the sake of my own self-esteem--that the problem isn't that I'm meeting guys who don't like me; I'm not meeting guys at all. I'm still stuck in this weird situation where it's like Tyler Durden on Livejournal, only with fewer explosive soaps, and I Am Jack's Lonely Saturday Night in real life, though.)

I haven't watched it yet, but the word I heard bandied about was "boysex." Step right up and watch the Twihards' heads asplode!
