Cleireac of the Yukon

Okay, so it doesn't just roll poetically off the tongue like "Sgt. Preston of the Yukon," and so I really won't exactly be in the Yukon, per se.

But by this time tomorrow, I will be on the road to the airport (approx. 3 hrs from here) to catch a flight the Seattle, and from thence, to board a cruise ship bound for Alaska.

My Princess Bride (with a little help from her sister, the internet vacation queen), located an incredible deal on a seven-day cruise to Alaska which will only cost us a little over $100.00 per person per day for an outside balcony room.

We will be staying in Seattle for a little over a day, long enough to take a tour of the city, which I hope will include a tour of the Seattle Underground and a stop at the Science Fiction museum (my wife wants to visit the Aquarium).

Then we board the ship and travel the inside passage with stops at Galcier Bay, Juneau, Sitka, and Victoria (B.C.).

We are definitely looking forward to this break before the Texas summer months fully arrive.
