Summary:
Jaejoong was a good son, a competent boss and a role model. It came as a shock to everyone when he met an accident that almost caused him his life. Fearing for his future, his parents decided to marry him off with a man. Will Jaejoong be able to find true love? Or will he still search for this nameless person he considered as his first love?
Junsu greeted the upset Jaejoong with a happy smile and a bag full of elephant-themed things he bought from his Japan trip, the very same reason why Jaejoong was displeased at Junsu even though the man made sure that he’ll call his dear friend while he was away. It was Hye kyo who told Junsu that Jaejoong was not in the mood to speak to Junsu after the man left without saying goodbye to him especially when Susu said that he is Joongie’s friend.
“Jae. Jaeeee~~” Junsu poked Jaejoong on the arm just to get the man’s attention.
“I’m sorry really. It was a sudden request and I couldn’t say no and I did call you but you refused to talk to me besides I bought you your favorites.”
“Hmmpp…” Jaejoong turned his head away from Junsu and continued playing with Jiji.
“Should I just leave Jae?” when he received no response, he stood from the bed but he has not even taken a step when Jaejoong pulled not so lightly on his shirt, making him tumble on the bed. He then heard Jaejoong sobbing with the latter’s hand still death-gripping his poor shirt.
“D-don’t leave Susu. Joongie’s alone these days. I just miss you.” The man mumbled as he wiped off his tears with the back of his hand.
“I won’t leave Jae. Just talk to me, okay? Chun will come here later. The three of us will play so you won’t get bored and oh… I will be having a sleep over here with you. Do you want that?” Jaejoong nodded happily as he was engulf with Junsu’s arms.
“Please… come back Jae…” He whispered lightly so Jaejoong wouldn’t hear it.
The door of the room opened, making Yoochun visible from their view. His heart swelled upon seeing Jaejoong and Junsu hugging like that just like the old days even with their eyes fixed at him. He smiled at the two as he walked over to the bed. Yoochun stopped in front of the bed and noticed the drying tears that marked Jaejoong’s beautiful face.
“Su, did you just make Jaejoong cry?” Yoochun teased. He always loved doing this to Junsu because the man’s pouts never failed to amuse him.
“Yah! I did not!” The man accused defended with a pout that Yoochun loved so much.
“Hmm really? Is that true Jae?” Jaejoong nodded and opened his arms wide for Yoochun to give him a hug too.
“I miss you Chunnie hyung.” He whispered enough for the two to here. It was a cliché and ironic. Jaejoong was older than the two of them but they cannot insist their age at the now eight year old Jaejoong. It will just make the man frustrated and scared and be in doubt. It was never a good sight and it was superbly hard dealing with Jaejoong’s tantrums.
Speaking of fit of temper, Jaejoong’s outbursts were always scary. He was strong despite the vulnerable look he would emit. He could hit and punch which brought bruises to anyone’s body that would come near him but he’ll feel even more upset if no one would come and deal with him.
“Hyung. Chunnie hyung. Can we buy Yoyo and Jiji a new friend? They seemed to be lonely these days too.”
“Ah but Jae. I don’t think your umma would let you go outside with only Junsu and I.” Yoochun tried to reason but was already defeated with the tears that was pooling at the side of the older man’s eyes. “Alright. I’ll talk to aunty.” He sighed.
Jaejoong grabbed his wrist and pulled the man with all his might. Yoochun let the man dragged him unwillingly while Junsu followed his boyfriend who was now being under by their friend.
Jaejoong knocked on his appa’s door and was greeted by his umma who looked even more tired the past few days.
“Aunty, can we bring Jaejoong to the mall? Jaejoong wanted to buy a new stuff animal for Yoyo and Jiji and I think we’ll watch a movie too. Junsu and I will take a good care of Jaejoong so you don’t have to worry.”
Jaejoong’s mom was quiet for awhile. She turned to look at his husband who only nodded weakly in agreement. Their son seemed to be bored and it would be good for Jaejoong to leave the house sometimes.
“Okay but promise me that you will keep an eye on Joongie, okay? He can’t be left alone Yoochun. Jaejoong needed to have someone by his side at all times and you should bring extra clothes too in case he dirtied his clothes when you make him eat.” Yoochun only nodded as they let Jaejoong ran up to his room to get dressed with Junsu trailing after him.
Junsu packed an extra set of clothes for their hyung just like what his best friend’s mom told them though the pants was just for added measure.
At the mall, they let Jaejoong chose on where they should go though they knew exactly where their friend would want to spend their time. Jaejoong led the way to the toy shop on the third floor and Jaejoong immediately go into hunting for his new stuff animal.
Jaejoong ended up buying YoJi, a new medium sized white elephant plushie which he carried around like it was his life. He was getting attention from the curious eyes of the people whom they were passing by but Junsu and Yoochun did not mind them. Their friend’s sparkling eyes were enough to make them happy and it would have been even better if Jaejoong was the same Jaejoong before.
They settled in watching Puss in Boots because the other movies did not allow audience younger than thirteen and Jaejoong was only eight. Yoochun waited for his turn as he was buying their tickets while he left Junsu and Jaejoong seated at the waiting area. Seeing that Jaejoong was getting impatient, Junsu brought him to the counter where they would buy their food.
“Jae, stay here, okay? I’ll just go get something. Don’t talk to strangers.” Junsu patted his hyung’s head and left the man for a moment. Jaejoong could only see Junsu's back. He played for a while by tip-toeing his foot until his eye caught something yummy. He loved sweets and he has every intention to have one.
Jaejoong walked towards the counter and eyed the candy. The saleslady who was stationed there asked if he would want one. Jaejoong nodded and received the candy. He was about to leave but the woman asked for the payment. Jaejoong pouted because he did not know what to do. His umma did not give him any money and Junsu was nowhere in sight.
“I-i… “ Jaejoong pouted and his lips quivered.
“I’ll pay for it. Give him another one.” A man eyed Jaejoong clearly with intention.
“Really?” Jaejoong asked, his lips forming into a wide smile.
“Yes.” The man nodded and handed the woman the payment. He then brought his hand towards Jaejoong’s back and lingered the touch for awhile until Jaejoong felt uncomfortable.
“Sir.” The saleslady spoke but the man only eyed him. Jaejoong struggled from the man’s hold but he felt weak and his effort was wasted. He was about to cry until Yoochun came to the rescue.
“Back off. He’s with me.” Yoochun spoke with authority.
“H-hyung…” Jaejoong was so scared that his tears just fall shamelessly. He buried his face on Yoochun’s chest and gripped his friend’s shirt tightly.
“I-I don’t like candies anymore. I want Susu hyung.” His voice was muffled by Yoochun’s shirt.
“What’s going on here?” Junsu asked. He saw Jaejoong crying from where he was so he left what he was buying and ran to his hyung. Jaejoong was instantly snatched from Yoochun by Junsu and the man in turn, enclosed Jaejoong with his securing and protective arms.
“I was just buying your friend this candy. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.” The man replied without a hint of any apology.
“But he doesn’t want it so you should have stop.”
“Well, he is alone and beautiful so I just wanted to know him and maybe do something else.” said the man much to Yoochun’s annoyance.
Yoochun’s fist was uncurling and curling. All he wanted to do now was to punch the gut of this guy but before he could even hit him, the security came to them and asked what was wrong.
“Oh, Mr. Park. Is there anything wrong here?” the man asked with a bow as soon as he saw the familiar man.
“Everything’s okay. My friends and I are just about to enter the theater.” Yoochun dismissed the securities and brought Junsu and Jaejoong to his side.
“I suggest you to leave and never bother my hyung anymore.”
The man raised his arms in defeat knowing that Yoochun was a known-man and shouldn’t mess with. In fact, Yoochun was one of the owners of the mall. The securities were just about to say that but Yoochun did not let them. He never liked it if his normal day was bothered by his employees.
“Jae, are you alright hmm?” Junsu cupped the man’s face with his hand. He freed the man’s face of tears that were staining those reddish cheeks.
“Movie… I want movie.” Jaejoong mumbled, eyes never having any eye contact with Junsu at the moment. It worried the man but Junsu chose not to ask anymore because it was Jaejoong’s way of forgetting upsetting things.

“He’s alright. His friends are with him so it’s okay hyung.” Changmin tapped his hyung on the back.
“I know but I couldn’t help it. Min… you have to make sure that the offer about Jaejoong’s husband wouldn’t be made public. I don’t want anyone going after him. I am the only one who should be named as his husband. Jaejoong doesn’t deserve anyone else.”

Jaejoong was bouncing on his seat happily as he watched the exciting scenes of the movie. The different colors were so beautiful for his eyes and the scenery was so fascinating. Jaejoong clasped his hands together and move until he was on the edge of the seat. Junsu hold on to him in case he fell down.
Yoochun and Junsu would sometimes exchange eye contact. Hye kyo asked them to make Jaejoong stop thinking of Joongki’s condition for awhile. It won’t be good stressing Jaejoong and his father wouldn’t be happy seeing his son sad.
As the movie end, Jaejoong still wouldn’t move from his seat. He wanted to watch the movie again but Junsu had talked to him. He kept this pout on until outside the cinema and only stopped when Yoochun gave him his favorite ice cream.
“Hyung, can we go home now? Appa misses me already.” Jaejoong said as he finished his food. There were stains on his clothes so Junsu have Jaejoong change his shirt in the CR while Yoochun was waiting outside. There were curious eyes watching them so Junsu doubled his speed. It won’t be good having a pervert looking at his hyung suggestively. Besides, Yoochun was outside.
“There Jae.” Jaejoong held Junsu’s hand with his much to the disappointment of the men inside.
Upon arriving home, Jaejoong ran off to his appa’s room without waiting for Junsu and Yoochun to come with him. He hasn’t seen his appa for a whole day and he surely missed the man. He has with him his new friend, YoJi that was bought by his hyungs. He was clutching it against his chest as he jumped his way on his appa’s room. He knocked on the door and turned the knob.
Jaejoong stepped inside and was greeted with the sight of his father curling his body in pain. In fright, Jaejoong had let go of Yoji and was instantly at the side of his father. He was in tears just like his mom. Junsu tried to pry Jaejoong’s hands off of Joongki but his hyung wouldn’t let go. Instead, Jaejoong kept on mumbling incoherent words.
“Appa! Appa!” Jaejoong said over again. His appa was in pain and his magic hand was no longer working. “Umma… magic hand doesn’t work… umma…”
“Joongie ah… please just go with Junsu, okay? Appa will be fine… your appa just needs to rest.” Hye kyo successfully pulled Jaejoong away from Joongki.
“b-but umma…”
“Listen to umma Joongie… just let appa rest, okay? Then maybe, we’ll play with you later.”
Jaejoong let himself be pulled by Junsu as he watched his appa writhing in pain with that same comforting smile his appa was giving him every time Jaejoong was distressed. He wished he could do the same for his father but as a child, he felt helpless. Why can’t God allow him to grow instantly? He just wanted to help his appa… be his appa’s strength and be his umma’s courage but he was a mere eight year old boy who could only cry as his father cry and feel sad as his mother’s sadness reached him too.
Junsu hadn’t left Jaejoong’s side since they arrived at the Kim’s mansion. Yoochun too, hasn’t left. Jaejoong has been crying for hours now and Junsu’s effort was going nowhere. They cannot make their hyung sleep no matter what they do. Even the comfort of Jaejoong’s plushies was nothing. Their hyung was so distracted. They were just scared that Jaejoong will fall ill like the old times and true to that, Jaejoong got a fever the same night.
It was Junsu who took care of Jaejoong because Hye kyo was busy nursing her husband. Yoochun and Junsu did not tell her about Jaejoong’s fever to lessen the worries of the woman besides, Jaejoong’s temperature will be back to normal the next day though their hyung would feel tired and will totally lose energy tomorrow. Whether it was a good thing or bad, they will be able to see it the next day… like the old times.
Jaejoong woke up with arms draped over him. As he opened his eyes, he could feel two people still asleep in each of his sides. If it was before, he would freak out but he knew these persons… it was Junsu and Yoochun who had refused to leave him last night… or maybe he begged them not to? His mind was fuzzy. It was refusing to recall things. With just the arms of two older hyungs, he felt safe but without the warmth like what his appa and umma was emitting. This one was different.
“Hyung…” Jaejoong nudged Junsu who was sleeping on his right side; arms draped over his waist, shoulder became Jaejoong’s nest.
“Sleep…” he heard his hyung mumbled tiredly. Maybe he became really difficult last night. He hoped his hyungs would forgive him.
“Okay.” He told Junsu back as he rested his head back over Junsu’s collar bone. Junsu pulled him closer so he has no choice but to shift his body closer whilst Yoochun was also pulling him from behind. He pouted at that because soon they will pull him like when they play tug of war. He tried to wriggle his way out but both arms blocking him were making him tired so he let them be.
At around 9am, Jaejoong woke up again this time with Junsu already seated on his bed, checking if he was okay and his other hyung, Yoochun who was carrying a tray of food and he caught a glimpse of a medicine making him cringed in distaste.
“Good morning Jae… breakfast in bed.” Yoochun greeted as he set the tray over the boy’s lap while Junsu assisted him in sitting up.
“Thank you.” He mumbled shyly. His hyungs despite being a little disoriented which was an effect of sleep still looked well with their hairs disheveled and eyes still struggling to be open.
“Finish everything Jae so you could take your medicine.” He could only nod as Yoochun began feeding him despite Junsu’s protest. He was a big boy, Junsu would tell Yoochun but the latter would only stare at him and continue what he was doing. Jaejoong wouldn’t say it but he liked it when either of the two was feeding him. He felt cared and loved at times when his hyungs fought for his affection like today.
“Then I’ll feed him Chunnie.” Junsu tried to snatch the spoon from Yoochun but the man swatted Junsu’s hand hardly.
“Yah!” Junsu whined as he nursed his hurt hand, the same time eyeing Yoochun with jealousy.
“Say ahh” Yoochun said to Jaejoong which Jae gladly obeyed as he opened his mouth and swallowed the food that was so delicious. He munched and munched so he could savor the taste. The sight made Junsu and Yoochun smile sadly. They missed their hyung. They missed messing around with the grown up Jaejoong.
At around the afternoon, Jaejoong was again left all alone inside his huge bedroom with only Jiji, Yoyo and Yoji accompanying him. He felt sad and bored as he kicked his feet back and forth while thinking of what to do that time. He could ask Mr. Cho to drive to Junsu’s office but he heard his Chunnie and Susu hyung talking about something he couldn’t understand. He knew the two would be busy so he erased the thought by swatting his hands over his head.
“Owww… Jiji ah… Yoyo, Yoji… come on play with me.”
Jaejoong reached for Jiji then hugged so tight within his arms. He suddenly dropped his weight as he lied down on his back then rolled his body as he again fixed his eyes at the stars decorating his ceiling. He remembered asking Junsu to buy him a lot of glow in the darks so he could decorate his room so that at night… there would be a wonderful sight that could help him be less afraid of the monsters that were lurking inside his room. It also lessened the night he would stay inside his parents’ bedroom or asking for anyone to accompany him.
He gave up being alone so he wore his slippers and wandered around their house. He was trying hard to stop himself from disturbing his parents. He wanted his appa to rest so he would no longer be in pain. He was doing his best until a maid tapped him on the shoulder and led him to his appa’s room. Outside, he could hear people talking. It was calm and that was a good thing. The maid knocked on the door then opened it.
Jaejoong, now freshly showered and perfectly dressed, step inside the room and was greeted by both his parents and a man he just saw the first time that moment but deep inside, he felt like he knew the man. For his eyes, the visitor was really handsome and he was tall or probably taller than his appa. He looked like a model but there was something about the stranger that made him feel attached. The man has the same look as his friend whose name he forgot to ask but his friend was also a child like him and he was small so it was impossible.
“Jaejoong ah…” His appa called for him. It was obvious that the man was dead tired so he quickened his pace and sat at the chair provided for him. “This is Yunho. Jung Yunho and you’ll be staying with him from now on.”
Jaejoong’s doe eyes widened in fear and confusion. He began crying without hearing his father’s explanation because from how he deciphered it, his appa wanted him to leave because maybe he has been bad and he had made his appa tired. He glanced at his umma to ask for her help but his umma was also looking sad just like his appa.
“Appa! Joongie will be a good boy and won’t bother umma and appa. Joongie doesn’t want to leave.” He shook his appa’s hand as tears trailed down his face.
“Joongie’s a good boy.” His appa said.
“That’s why we want you to be with Yunho, Joongie…” Hye kyo interfered as she saw her husband gasped for breath.
“Joongie ah… Yunho will be taking care of you because umma has to take care of appa too and appa and umma won’t be able to take care of our baby since appa gets tired easily and umma has to make sure that appa won’t fell sick.” She explained as she wiped her son’s tears.
Jaejoong turned his head to catch a glimpse of Yunho once again. The man was quiet and also looked sad. He was just standing there but he could see that the man was struggling. Jaejoong wondered why. He gave his attention back to his umma who has now stopped crying. “Do you trust umma and appa baby?” she asked him and without hesitation he replied Yes with a faint smile.
The room became quiet as they tried to even their breathings. His appa and umma held hands and also brought his hand along. His appa motioned for Yunho to bring his hand out to which the man followed without further ado. Together, they shared warmth of comfort and assurance as they make Jaejoong understand that he should trust Yunho because his parents did the same too.
“Tonight…” Joongki began. “…we’ll hold the ceremony… Hye kyo please call our lawyer… I don’t have much time… I wanted Joongie safe before that happens…” Jaejoong was confused but he did not say anything. He felt the stranger’s hands over his shoulders but instead of feeling uncomfortable, he found security and calmness.
“I will tell them to prepare.” Hyekyo promised her husband then she stood, bringing Jaejoong with her. “Joongie has to dress up for tonight. My baby should look wonderful in front of appa.” She tried saying it cheerily but if it was forced, Jaejoong wouldn’t even notice it. “…and Yunho too, please come back tonight wearing something like a prince charming because Joongie loves princes, right baby?” Jaejoong blushed and nodded silently.
“Yes… and thank you Mr. Kim, Mrs. Kim… I will do everything I promised. I guarantee you that.”
“Ah… call us umma and appa like how Joongie does… because you’ll be a part of the family soon…” Joongki said as he tried to even his breathing. Yunho only nodded and before leaving the room, he thanked them once again.
“Thank you… umma, appa. I will bring my brother too so Jaejoong could meet him.” he smiled then hugged Jaejoong who blushed uncontrollably because of the way his parents were staring at him.
As I have said, this would be around 10 chapters or so/less... so definitely there would be somethings to skip... only important things to be said and explained...
