I finally followed the rec of
_profiterole_ and watched the 1st ep of the tv series "Orphan Black". I was not that enthusiast at the beginning because I've always difficulties relating to young punk people like the main character is. However the theme, which doesn't seem too original (clones) is led with a dynamism that had me hooked within half of the 1st episode *thumbs up*
The other point that had me skeptical during the 1st minutes of the show was that I had difficulties understanding what the characters were saying. I'm more used to tv series from the US rather than GB, and I think the main character wasn't making any effort either ^^;; when she started trying to enter one of her clones persona, all of the sudden, I understood better ;)
I've watched the second episode this morning and so far so good. It's really the dynamism and rhythm that's really good for me. I also like the fact that so far, the focus is on the mystery and no "love interest" in the horizon to muddle the water and make things cheezy ;)
Now I hope I won't be disappointed, because in this type of series with a big mystery and conspiracy, it can be if the big secret is finally pretty lame (and as i said, the theme has been dealt before so...). The fact that a 2nd season is scheduled gives me hope though that it won't be too bad of a ending ;)
