(no subject)
So my mom had surgery today. I am going home for the 4th of July weekend (pre-4th) to see her and my family and just make sure she's alright. She's fine, it's an elective surgery that isn't any danger to her, so no worries. Point is that she will be in bed for like ever and, based on everything I've ranted to her about LOST, she thought she might rent the first season while she has nothing better to do. So I got to thinking.
I have a little extra money right now thanks to my wonderful boyfriend's co-habitation this summer. I have been wanting LOST season 1 for like ever, so I decided to look up some prices online. I know the average is like $60, so I wasn't hoping for much, but I go to Bestbuy.com and find that they have a deal there were, if you pre-order season 2, you can get $10 off both seasons, and season 1 was already on sale for $10 less than it normally costs. So, in essence, you get season 1 and 2 of LOST for $80. Which is amazing, and $40 less than what they would both cost together, minus shipping and whatnot. And THEN there is this amazing function where you can pick up season 1 at the store if you want, you don't have to wait for shipping, and you don't have to pay $5 for shipping, only, like $3, unless it's already there at the store, and I think it;'s less then. Whatever, point is, I can go pick up LOST today because I ordered it last night, and then I get season 2 in September when it comes out. Weeee! I am content.
And then this morning when I got to the office there was a very large evil spider staring at me and making faces. I tried to kill it, but took too long and failed and now it is lurking somewhere behind the second desk that is behind me in my office. This is not happy and I am not content. I keep checking behind me for it, but who knows when it will jump out and suck my blood. I had a very good rant to Becky on gchat about this, but will spare you all the drama and not repeat it. But I will say that every once in awhile the building makes it's shifty noises and sometimes the boxes in the offices will...creak and I keep thiking it's this spider adjusting his position to come and get me. Like a spider can make a whole box move! ... (looks over shoulder)
Anyway, I don't want to be at work now because my life is in danger.
But I can pick up LOST after work! Yay!
