About the WGA Strike
I'm seeing a lot of people saying that when TV shows run out of new episodes and go into reruns in December/January, that they'll go and watch TV shows on dvd that they need to catch up with. Well, if people are going to use that as an alternative, what's to stop them from getting into international shows? More stuff from the BBC, more anime, etc. Also, people could give up on TV all together and get into video games, an industry that that motion picture and TV industries are already intensely threatened by. This strike is neccessary for the WGA, but at the same time, when it's finally over, some of them might not have jobs to come back to.
