Apparently, Saturday night was a busy night at work. We made over $1800 dollars, and it was the most money we made in over two years. That, combined with the $1500 from the night before, shows we had a damn busy weekend. What really drained me though, was that Saturday, I wasn't supposed to close. The closing manager called out, so I had to cover for her. I worked over ten hours straight with no break because guess what? She called out at the last minute. So, I was stuck there all day with no break. Then Sunday I had to do an eight hour shift. So basically, I was living at work over the weekend. Now, this girl calls out all the time. If she actually does show up to work, she leaves two or three hours early for an "emergency." What really pisses me off, is that she doesn't make up any of the hours. When someone else calls out during her shift, she's on the phone calling everyone else to come in for them, instead of taking those hours herself. So she calls out, piles her hours on someone else, doesn't make them up, and never covers for anyone else. What the fuck? And then she has the nerve to bitch about how small her paycheck is. Well, that's what happens when you don't work your hours. What really gets me, is that she has the easiest schedule out of everyone. She's on Monday's 12-5, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from open-3, and Saturdays from 8-close (yes, that's 8pm- about 12:30 am, barely four hours). And she still calls out all the time. Bitch.
Also on Saturday night, a guy brought over 70 used dvds. It took two hours to help this guy with all that. Pulling the discs our of the drawers, running each one through our buffers, putting each one in the proper case, ringing each one up, printing the receipt (over ten pages long), and then bagging them all. For two hours I was helping one customer. So much fun. -_-
