Wink?

Is there something about Clay Aiken winking a lot when he performed on American Idol? I know Simon said something like "You didn't wink!" in one of the performances (don't remember which) and I was just watching the SNL skit where he's "Tray Aiken" and they mention him winking.

Is there a specific performance where he does the wink? When I look him up on YouTube, I typically just let it play in the background and listen while I do homework, which is why I'm asking.
