So, I'm a pretty new Clay Aiken fan... I skipped AI season 2 (kicking myself about that now). But I really became a huge fan after On My Way Here came out.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and post a little something I was thinking about earlier. I was listening to A Thousand Different Ways and started thinking about what covers I would like for him to sing if he ever did another cover CD. Most of them are from what he sang on American Idol... those 1-minute songs were like teasers and I want the whole thing now!
“Open Arms” by Journey (*Sigh*)
“Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” by Elton John (HOW is this not out there already???)
“Somewhere Out There” from An American Tail (This song made me fall in love with him.)
“Tell Her About It” by Billy Joel (Starting it as a ballad was awesome.)
“Build Me Up Buttercup” by The Foundations (Just because it's so fun and bouncy!)
“Vincent” by Don McLean (I know he messed up a little on it on Idol, but he can totally rock it.)
“Mack the Knife” by Bobby Darin (That short version was AMAZING, so he should definitely do the full.)
“American Pie” by Don McLean (Just because. ;) )
“You Give Love A Bad Name” by Jon Bon Jovi (Because I know Clay could rock it.)
“If You See Him, If You See Her” by/with Reba McEntire (Or maybe, in light of recent events, he should do "Does He Love You" with her instead... Either way, Clay/Reba would be AWESOME.)
“Nobody Knows What It’s Like To Be the Bad Man” by Pete Townshend
"I Will Remember You" by Sarah McLachlan
Those are just the ones off the top of my head. Comments? Suggestions? :^D
