Another Hornblower fic from my days in that fandom.  This one is a sort of continuation of William Bush's Journal, and is based on the events that took place at the end of the film Retribution.  I made the choice to not write Bush's journal for that entire film, but rather to focus on the emotional impact of Lt. Kennedy's fate.

In a fandom not so far away. . . .

I was once heavily into the fandom from the A & E Hornblower mini-series.  I may have even been considered a BNF in some circles (perish the thought)!  Still love the films, but I definitely drifted away.  But Hornblower gave me my first taste of fanfic, and that's where I wrote my first things.
