OK, so finally I had the time and energy to blog about our trip to Luxembourg about a month and a half ago. The primary mission was to visit Peter's brother Kasper and his wife Laura (who is Catalan) but we threw in a half day of sightseeing in Brussels.

In travel guides there are always the same basic phrases in the local language. This helps greatly at restaurants, when haggling with greengrocers, asking for directions et cetera.

But they are a bit dull and terribly formal, let's face it.

Why 'Wii'?

I mean seriously! Who would want to buy a product with so strong connotations of urine relief?

Or are they silently planning an upgrade following the same scheme? I mean if No. 1 is 'Wii', will they call No. 2.... 'Poo'?

I found this Jutlandish - Danish dictionary amusing. Non-Copenhageners may not find it particularly funny.

A fitting onomatopoetikon might be Hahahrnf.

I referred to this in Danish as 'fnisegrynt'. Now we are discussing whether gigglesnort or chucklegrunt is the more precise English translation.
