It's been 10 weeks???!
Sorry about that friends (if anyone's still reading)! But first-Happy Happy Birthday to ladycass and pittangel! With that said...what have I been up to?
I've done a couple shows at ASU Gammage (My Fair Lady & High School Musical) and realized my actual job is incredibly boring, lol. But hey, it's an easy $10/hour and maybe i'll be able to meet some folks and get on some fabulous tour next year. But for now I'm all done there until September. Full time at the Rainforest now and it's not been going well. Apparently the managers don't talk to one another so I only got scheduled one day this week and last because the one who makes the schedules was never told by the manager I told that I'm available full time again now. So I'm trying to pick up shifts and not having much luck since we have way too many servers on the schedule now and the GM just told the server manager to cut back on labour. Good thing I'm going on vacation end of the month and have decent savings from working at ASU
I finally applied for my US citizenship a couple weeks ago and got my acceptance letter last week. Woot!!
I've lost 20 pounds in the last 3 months, and so long as i can stay on track I should be at my goal weight by Xmas. Woohoo!
July 30 I'm flying to Pittsburgh to spend a day with Mattie before heading back up to Canada for the cottage and visiting with my mum for two weeks. Then I'll bus it back to Pittsburgh for two days before meeting up with Eric who's flying in the 16th and renting a car. Then we're driving out to his hometown of Brookville about an hour and a half from pittsburgh and i'm going to meet his parents and see where he grew up. Then we're driving out to Ohio to visit our friend brian and his girlfriend. I haven't seen brian in at least 4 years, probably longer so it should be fun, aside from the fact that the three of them are big video gamers so i'll be the odd one out a bit, lol. (In case you hadn't guessed it yet-i'm officially not single and the L word is once again floating around my life. yay)
My ex-gf is getting married next july at Disney and invited me as one of the 20 guests they can have. Needless to say there are some mixed emotions on that one but i did tell her i'd go. And once again, mattie will be my date to an ex's wedding.
What else?? OH! Today is my 5 month mark of being smoke free!! :-D Woot!
otherwise, life is pretty decent at the moment. Sorry i've been ignoring you LJ, too much time on Sparkpeople. lol.
OH! Random fashion question-the boy bought me a new pair of red strappy heels. Not being a very fashion conscious ones, especially girly ones, what can/should I wear them with?? Aside from maybe jeans (like out to the bar) I've got nothing in my wardrobe to wear but do want to go buy a nice little dress for the occasional dinner or night out. Suggestions??
