Ray awoke as he felt Chung Hu pad across his back and drop onto the ground, and looking to the side he watch as the cat dropped in front of the fire, beginning to wash. Smiling, Ray stretched before letting out a satisfied sigh, curling up tighter against Bryan’s chest. He frowned, reopening his eyes and casting his gaze up toward the front window, noting the light peaking around the blinds.

Must have fallen asleep. Ray stifled a yawn, shifting slightly and smoothing down Bryan’s shirt, breathing in his scent. He had tried to give a name to the smell, but had given it up almost as soon as he had begun, deciding it to be uniquely Bryan. It intoxicated him, yet at the same time soothed him. Ray never wanted to leave.

He heard a break in Bryan’s breathing and glanced up, seeing his forehead furrow ever so slightly before lavender eyes cracked open, glancing toward the curtains then down at the cat before finally resting on Ray, a smile playing across his lips. “Morning.”

“Yeah, morning.”

“What time is it?”

Ray yawned. “Not sure. Early. Chung Hu woke me.”

“Probably wants to be fed.” Bryan reached up to rub his eyes. “Guess we fell asleep.”

“Yeah.” Ray frowned, glancing down. “Do you remember getting a blanket?”

“No.” Bryan raised his head to look down at their covering. “Spence must’ve come home.”

“Yeah.” Ray fought another yawn. “And Lee.”

“Must’ve been deep asleep to miss that.”

“Mm.”

They heard footsteps on the stairs, and looking back they spotted Lee gazing in toward them, a smile on his lips. “Good morning. Sleep well?”

Ray groaned, burying his head against Bryan’s chest. “Go away, Lee. It’s too early in the morning to deal with you.”

“I take that as a yes.” Lee ran a hand through his loose hair in an attempt to smooth the spikes. “Requests for breakfast?”

“Yeah,” Bryan answered. “Food.”

“I guess I can do that.”

As Lee moved away, Bryan frowned as he heard a mew. “And feed the bloody cat.”

“Your cat, your problem.”

“Arsehole.”

Ray chuckled, looking up. “You can only push him so far. Besides, he did offer to make our breakfast, which is unusual for him.”

“Mm.” Bryan trailed his fingers through Ray’s hair. “Not sure about you, but I slept rather well.”

“Actually, so did I. Bests nights sleep since that night when we…”

“That’s it, you’re sleeping here from now on.”

“No arguments here.” Ray stretched before he pushed himself up, lips brushing against Bryan’s in a gently lingering kiss. “Don’t think Chung Hu would mind.”

“Mm. Damned cat wouldn’t know what to do with himself.” Bryan pulled himself up as Ray sat back, stretching his back. Bryan had to smile, running his hand up over Ray’s chest and behind his neck, drawing him down into another kiss, this time longer. “I’m serious about you moving in, Ray.”

“I’m serious in saying that I will, though I’ll miss our chat sessions.”

“Pillow talk be a fitting replacement?”

Ray chuckled, kissing him before he stood, body stiff. “I guess. Spencer won’t mind, will he? I mean, this is his house after all.”

“Don’t know.” Bryan stretched, rubbing the back of his neck as he moved toward the kitchen. “Hey Spence. You wouldn’t mind if Ray moved in would you?”

“No.” Spencer looked up. “He can help look after the cat. Anyway, Lee’s gonna move in too.”

“Oh really?” Bryan glanced over his shoulder. “Is it going to be wise leaving your teammates on their own like that?”

“They’ll live. If not, they’ll rip themselves apart, but that might be a good thing.” Ray dropped into a seat, holding up his plate and easily catching the pancake Lee flipped his way, telling the two others present that this happened often. “When you moving in, Lee?”

“Today, actually.” Lee shrugged as he poured more mixture onto the pan. “Spence and I spoke about it yesterday before we were mobbed at the restaurant just because we kissed.”

“Come to think of it,” Ray frowned. “I’ve never actually seen you kiss.”

“Neither have I,” Bryan agreed as he tugged the lid off the cat food.

Lee looked back at them before meeting Spencer’s eye. Setting down the spatula, Lee crossed to where Spencer sat, kissing him as Spencer slid an arm around his waist. They kissed for a long while, Bryan eventually scowling as he knelt to put the cat food into Chung Hu’s bowl, the cat removing his claws from Bryan’s pant leg to eat.

“Okay, we get the idea.” Bryan looked up. “Just don’t burn breakfast again.”

Lee broke the kiss and made a dash for the stove, quickly flipping the pancake and frowning down at it. “Too late.”

“That one’s yours,” Bryan told him, tossing the tin into the bin.

Spencer chuckled, Ray biting back his smile. Living together was going to be interesting.

************

“You’d think they didn’t want us to go.”

Ray smiled as he tugged open another of his boxes, having found his room quicker to pack than Lee’s as he had never properly unpacked since his last move. “Gee, now what made you think that? Could it have been Kenny clinging to our ankles begging us to take him with us? Or maybe Mariah giving us an earbashing about turning our backs on our teams when there is a Championship coming? Or was it Tyson whining about who is going to cook?”

Lee frowned, pretending to think deeply. “Can’t really put my finger on it. I had it a minute ago. Yes there it is… no, it’s gone again. Sorry.”

Ray smacked him over the back of the head, chuckling. “Idiot.”

Lee glanced toward the doorway. “You’re positive Bryan won’t mind me being in here?”

“Just so long as you don’t touch his things.” Ray sighed as he dumped some clothes into a drawer, having also discovered Bryan hadn’t really unpacked since his last move either. “You know, I just can’t escape you. I go for so long without you, and then I turn up again and you cling to me like a burr.”

“Hey, I was going out with Spencer long before you even had a thing for Bryan.” Lee frowned down toward an object on the floor. “So what’s going to happen with your computer?”

“Bryan and I will have to discuss it. We may need to get another desk and a second Internet connection in here.”

“Why?”

“Because Bryan spends half his life on his computer, and should I ever need to get online I’ll need mine.” Ray looked to the side as he heard the door downstairs open. “Sounds like they’re home.”

“We’re going to have to sort out the car thing.” Lee frowned. “Three car garage and four cars. I think I’ll leave mine out on the driveway. Yours and Bryan’s are both fairly new, not to mention Bryan’s is a top of the range sports model. Both mine and Spencer’s aren’t so new, but since Spence owns the place…”

“Buy a cover for your car. That will protect it from the weather.”

“There’s an idea.” Lee slid from his seat and padded toward the door. “Well, I better go make it look like I’ve been doing something. Talk later.”

“Yeah.”

As soon as he was gone Ray continued sliding everything into it’s place, unpacking all of his clothing by the time he heard the door open, glancing up and smiling as he spotted those deep lavender eyes watching him.

“You’ve got a lot done.”

“I’m a hard worker.” Ray set some books into the shelf. “Good thing this is a big room.”

“Spencer’s is bigger.”

“Dammit. You mean Lee’s outdone me again!?”

“Like I said, he is sharing with Spencer.” Bryan shook his head, regarding the younger. “Must you always outdo Lee?”

“Yes I must always outdo Lee. He’s my best friend. It’s my job to outdo him.”

“Strange friendship.”

“You don’t know the half of it.”

“I’ve got a feeling I’m going to learn.” Bryan stepped forward as Ray put some more books on the shelf, Bryan gently laying his hands on Ray’s shoulders, massaging them, trying to ease away some of the tension he could feel beneath his fingertips. “You’re a set spring, Ray. All taunt ready to go off. Relax.”

Ray sighed, leaning back against Bryan’s chest as those strong arms threaded around him. “It’s been a long day.”

“I’d imagine it has been, but don’t let it get to you. Deep breaths now.”

Ray chuckled. “Are you my therapist now?”

“I am as I need to be.” Bryan smiled, leaning down to press his lips to Ray’s ear. “I’m not as one dimensional as some people think.”

“I’m learning that.” Ray closed his eyes, the mere presence of the other soothing him. “How did the errands go?”

“They went. All the bills are paid, I did my last trip to the doctors, and the shopping is done.”

Ray stepped out of his arms, turning toward him. “Your last trip?”

“Yeap.” Bryan smirked. “I’ve been given the thumbs up in terms of healing. I have to go back in six months just to be sure, but as you can see, no cane, no bandages, just me as I am.”

“That’s… great!” Ray threw his arms around his neck. “That’s just… wonderful.”

Bryan hugged him back for a moment before trying to take a step back. “Eh, Ray? Air?”

“Oh, sorry.” Ray loosened his grip sheepishly.

“What ya trying to do? Send me back to hospital?”

“When I’ve just got you right where I want you?”

Bryan raised an eyebrow. “And where might that be?”

Ray reached up, pressing a hand against the side of Bryan’s face, eyes locking. “With me.”

“I see.” Bryan kissed Ray’s palm. “Was that your intention all along, was it?”

“No. Falling for you was never my intention. I wished to get to know you better, but I was never meant to fall for you.”

“So, have you gotten to know me better?”

“Not as well as I would like, but there’s still time.” Ray raised his chin, raising an eyebrow. “And what was your intention?”

“To remain the most eligible bachelor in blading.” Bryan shrugged. “Years ago I told myself I would never fall in love with anyone, as I would never allow myself to be weak.”

“So being with me makes you weak?”

“No.” Bryan trailed his fingertips over the gentle curves of Ray’s face, a small smile playing over his lips. “I believe it has made me stronger.”

Ray slid a hand behind Bryan’s head, drawing his lips downward, kissing him hard yet gently, Bryan pulling the younger closer and returning it with equal intensity. For a long while there was nothing else until Bryan detected the slightest of hesitations, the Russian breaking the kiss to look down with concern.

“Ray? What is it? What’s wrong?”

“You sensed that?”

“I did, yes.” Bryan searched Ray’s face, looking for a clue. “What’s the matter?”

“Nothing, only…” Ray sighed, averting his eyes. “I’m… you were raised with them and… I guess… what if…”

“I’m like Tala and Kai,” Bryan finished. He let out a long breath, shaking his head. “I have asked myself the same question, but then I realised that I am only like them if I allow myself to become that, and that is not something I wish to be.” Lavender eyes flicked up, setting on Ray’s face. “And I have also asked… considering the time you spent with them… are you like that?”

“No. Or at least I hope not.” Ray shuddered. “That was the only relationship I have ever known. I’ve never had anything different. I hope I’m not like them. I don’t want to be like them. It’s just… I’m scared I am.” He looked up, meeting lavender, golden eyes shimmering with unshed tears. “Never let me become like that.”

“If you do, I’ll tell you straight out.” Bryan frowned, looking toward the clock. “How long have I been up here?”

“Eh…” Ray blinked as he thought. “Not sure. Why?”

“Cause the reason I came up was to tell you Spence and I bought pizza and you really should come down.”

Ray laughed. “Guess you got distracted.”

“Distracted?” Bryan his eye over Ray, smirking. “I’ll say.”

Ray smacked him. “Come on. If it’s cold we’ll just microwave it. Besides, I doubt Lee and Spencer made it to the table either.”

************

Ray chuckled as his eyes followed Chung Hu’s path across the bedroom to his destination. “You were right. Straight onto the bed.”

“Believe me now?” Bryan closed the door behind him, turning off the main lights to leave the room lit only by the lamp by the bed.

“You spoil the cat rotten.” Ray sighed, kneeling by the bed and scratching Chung Hu behind the ear, smiling as the cat purred in contentment. “I think he’s glad to have me here.”

“He’s missed you something terrible. Right Chuny?”

The kitten purred louder.

Ray stood, moving around the bed and tugging off his robe, tossing it onto the back of a chair before sliding between the sheets. “I would say this is our first official night together, but considering last night and what happened just over a couple of months ago, that wouldn’t be true.”

“Depends how you look at it.” Bryan joined him, reaching out to tug the blankets over them. “A couple of months ago was simply our subconscious’s winning out over logic when we were denying we liked each other, so it wasn’t official. Last night we fell asleep talking, so that wasn’t really official either. Tonight we are both willingly sleeping together when we are officially a couple.”

“Ugh, you and your technicalities.” Ray shook his head. “You’re too smart for your own good.”

“Thank you.”

“And I see that ego is still around.”

“Never left. I offered it a free vacation, but it turn down the offer.” He smirked. “It decided it was having too much fun.”

Ray leaned across, finding Bryan’s lips with his. “You talk too much.”

“Not as much as you.” Bryan frowned, tugging at Ray’s shirt. “What is this?”

“A shirt.”

“Why is it on?”

“I always sleep with a shirt on.”

“Not in this bed you don’t.” Bryan narrowed his eyes. “It goes. Now.”

Ray returned the look with sheer determination. “Why?”

“Cause that’s the rule. You sleep in this bed, you do so shirtless. Otherwise, it’s too the guestroom you go.”

“Oh really?” Ray set his jaw. “Well maybe I don’t want to take it off.”

“It goes, Kitten, whether you want it to or not.”

“And what happens if I don’t take it off?”

Bryan smirked. “Then I rip it off.”

“Just try it.”

“I will.”

“I’ll have you know this is my favourite night shirt.”

“Then if you don’t want it ripped, take it off.”

For a long while they glared at each other, Ray’s will finally shattering as he sat up, tugging the shirt over his head and tossing it down onto the bed. “Happy?”

“Much.” Bryan pushed himself up, lips playing across Ray’s shoulder. “More to kiss.”

“You’re lazy, that’s what you are.” Ray shuddered, smiling as Bryan worked Ray’s hair free. “Couldn’t do it yourself?”

“More fun watching you strip.” Bryan sat back, running his hands through Ray’s hair, almost studying it. “Don’t know how anyone can have hair this long. I mean, look at my mop. This short and I still can’t control it.”

“Well, it does have a mind of its own.” Ray ran his fingers through Bryan’s hair before kissing him gently on the neck. “That’s what I like about it.”

Bryan kissed him again, then once more brought his lips to Ray’s shoulder, exploring the area and hearing Ray’s shuddering gasps. Smiling faintly Bryan worked his way down, finding a nipple and nibbling on it gently, Ray inhaling sharply, running his hands through Bryan’s hair as the elder continued to explore, mentally creating a roadmap of the younger as he went.

Bryan’s lips found Ray’s bellybutton, tongue darting over the area and causing Ray to jerk, eyes flying open. “Bryan…”

“Ray?” Bryan looked up, frowning. “I will stop if you wish it. Just tell me.”

“No.” Ray let out a long breath. “Please. Keep going.”

Bryan narrowed his eyes as if seeking further permission, Ray nodding before Bryan lowered himself once more, continuing to work his way downward, gently lowering Ray’s loose pants, lips and fingers playing over Ray’s thighs and causing him to jerk violently.

“Bryan.” Ray swallowed hard, spotting a pair of eyes watching them. “I can’t… not with Chung Hu watching.”

“Chuny?” Bryan looked back and spotted the cat. Narrowing his eyes he plucked up Ray’s shirt, tossing it onto the cat. “Better?”

Ray blinked. “He won’t like that.”

“Ah, he’s used to it.” Bryan smirked. “I do it to him all the time.”

Ray nodded, letting out a shuddering breath before he smiled. “I’m okay now.”

“Sure?”

“Yeah. Just can’t let our little boy watch, that’s all. Doubt he needs that kind of memory.”

“Maim him for life, probably.” Bryan leant down, kissing Ray’s tip. “Still sure.”

Ray growled. “Ask me that again and I’ll- never… mind…”

Ray threw his head back as Bryan continued, leaving nothing unattended. Ray’s breaths came in short gasps as a pleasure of a kind and intensity he had never experienced before washed over him. Purring, he unconsciously bucked his hips, Bryan being forced to hold him down as he continued, set on giving Ray the ultimate pleasure.

Ray let out a half sob, half scream as he came, fireworks dancing before his eyes before he collapsed back onto the bed, panting heavily. And yet he was still not satisfied, looking down toward the other.

“Bryan, where?”

“Drawer.”

Ray shifted, reaching out and tugging open the drawer, fumbling inside until he found the tube, looking toward Bryan as the other tossed aside his pants, moving up to catch Ray in a long kiss.

Tugging the cap off the tube Ray put some onto his finger, reaching down to coat Bryan’s obviously painful member and hearing the elder growl gently in the back of his throat. Taking the tube from Ray, Bryan placed some on his own fingers before kissing Ray hard, distracting him as he carefully slid a finger within his confines.

Ray wasn’t surprised to find that in his time of rest he had shrunk, a small amount of pain playing through him as Bryan inserted a second finger, Ray tilting his hips and urging him to continue, longing to be united. Bryan entered the third finger before twisting his hand, flicking them toward a well-known spot and being rewarded as Ray broke the kiss with a sharp cry of pleasure.

“Bryan, please.”

Bryan smiled, kissing him again as he withdrew his fingers, replacing them with his erection that he gently eased up inside his beloved, Ray moaning as he shifted to meet him, hands sliding around Bryan’s back.

Bryan took it slow, not wanting to rush their first ‘official’ time together, a far cry from the lust of the first time they had been united. Both had a sense of completeness, Ray moving in time with each stroke, gasping as they found perfect position that allowed Bryan to brush Ray’s core.

Reaching between them Bryan caressed Ray’s member, hearing the younger moan slightly and bringing a smile to his lips. By now both their breathing was laboured, and yet still the gentle pace continued, almost torturous.

Almost too soon they reached the summit, Bryan’s gently caresses causing Ray to explode into Bryan’s fingers, and Ray’s tensing all too much for the elder as he too was drawn to climax, both crying out each others name into the semi-darkness, not really caring who was listening to them.

Left gasping, Bryan kissed Ray again, Ray running his hands through Bryan’s hair as he sensed the other trembling. Bryan gently worked his way free, stretching out beside Ray as the younger curled against him, wrapping his arms around him and kissing him long. Ray buried is face into Bryan’s shoulder, closing his eyes as he lost his battle with exhaustion.
