The last time we were in this position I remember clearly how bleak the job scene looked. Sure, I was hoping it would pick up this year, but that doesn't mean I'm not thoroughly surprised at the results.
Now that Stuart's webpage is up and a few friends have passed his resume around, he has 3 (count 'em, three!!!) headhunters busting their butts to find him a job! The most he's attracted before is one, and not a terribly enthusiastic one at that!
He is getting prompt responses to his emails and, between his own work and that of the headhunters, he has applied to something like a dozen jobs in 2 days. They're even jobs that he would be supremely qualified for and in places I could cope with living (although that's a pretty broad category.
Healthwise, it's been a real up and down week. I'm getting used to the CPAP so I'm sleeping better and it seems to be helping the joint pain (although not in my hips or knees, which I already know is osteoarthritis) and the doc says I officially don't have rheumatoid arthritis (yay!). Unfortunately the weather has been really flakey, so my migraines have been almost non-stop. This is my first lack of migraine day all week. A good thing, too, since I had Cubs tonight (and spent most of the day prepping for it and filling out ACSD forms for Clinton).
Well, it's off to plug myself in. Stuart calls the CPAP my "Borg Queen getup" . Morning comes early here.
