Mother and wife rant...
Had an evening full of argument with Son#1 who can't be made to do his homework even at gunpoint (OK, so I haven't *actually* tried that yet). He says he's getting it all dome at school in break times, which just *can't* be enough time to do it justice. He's never been a liar, but I *don't beleive* he's keeping up adequately. But we never get to see his books, or marks, and when I last tried to get to see his tutor, they never rang me back. *grrr*
So I put a note in his homework diary which his tutor sees daily, that I want an appt to go see him (the tutor that is). Then Son#1 FORGOT to take it with him this morning!!!!! No, I don't think it was deliberate, just his usual comatose state in the morning. I mean, *I* don't have to get up at 630 anymore in the week - but i do, just to get him up and ready and make him breakfast etc.
And elsewhere? Hubby 'rearranged' all my books at the weekend. I mean, they were in a hideous mess, all in piles around the bookcase cos I've too many to fit in, so it needed some work. So now they fit, and he's categorised them all for me - but not in the way I need or like! I have other people's books that they lent me mixed in with them all, all the crap ones in the front and the juicy ones behind, all the ones I had lined up to read next mixed back into the rest...
*sigh* sounds ungrateful, doesn't it? But there were plenty of other things needed doing round the house that were more critical. And they're like my Personal Self *haha*, my books!!! He only reads one or two a year. Don't want *anyone* fiddling with these things...
OK, rant over. Had a bad night, so now I'm off to work to fight/meet both auditors and someone coming to sort out our management information system. Should be a challenging day.
But all the Xmas cards are done *yee hah* and we might put the decorations up this weekend, so there's something to look forward to! And I've had quite a few hits on my novel on AFF, so that's a small, warm feeling.
No GW writing since Santa Actually - but bunnies are stirring, thank God. *Must buy carrots*...
