Had lunch with the PSD gang at Esplanade Ichiban Boshi this afternoon.
The chicken katsu don cannot make it, but the lunch company was quite refreshing as both KE and JY brought their spouses for the same occasion.
I'm a bit of a junkie who likes to meet/ get-to-know people's better halves.
It almost gives you a glimpse of their private persona away from the office, and humanises a person.
Plus, if a 'difficult' colleague has a nice spouse, there must be something good and worth loving about him/her, right?
I'd like to think that's what my Hubby implicitly 'says' about me. Keke.
Aside, the Hubby's grumpy mood finally cleared up this evening.
We went to Coffee Club for dinner and was greeted with their new menu.
Expensive for cafe food, but not bad in terms of taste and presentation.
Hubby's choice - Baked rice. Him drooling at the cheese.
Afternote: He thought the dish lacked taste though. Wouldn't return for the same.
My choice - Piri Piri Chicken. The Hubby commented the chicken meat tasted masala, which put me off for a bit.
But the tomato sauce was nice. Empty plate except for the leaves which tasted bitter, and fatty skin.
Also relived our courtship days with Muddy Mudpie for dessert, although it's significantly more pricey now than when we were undergrads!
Had the craving for Shihlin Orh-Ah Mee Suah.
Oysters were not available, so the stall replaced this with baby scallops. Still yum, since I only go for the vinegar/ chilli and the veg.
Note: My uncle who works at AVA says China imported oysters are contaminated, so avoid eating oyster omelette for the time being.
