angels in real life
To put it mildly, i've been going through an emotional time recently.
on my way to class today, right before i got to the door of the building, i looked down at the path. there, in the melting snow and slushy muck was a bookmark. a bookmark in pristeen condition. absolutely spotless in amidst all the grime. the side that was face up says, "Make yourself familiar with the angels and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are present with you. ~St. Francis de Sales" on the other side is the serenity prayer, "God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change... the Courage to change the things I can... and the Wisdom to know the difference."
Sherrie (the gal I was walking with), looks at me and says, "well, i think that means it's yours; it was meant to be."
