(no subject)
i want my new glasses to come in. they are going to have the line in them. that means that i'll be able to see more in my periferal vision. i can't wait :-). of course, with my luck, they'll call on thursday or friday that my glasses are in. i work on friday. i've got a shopping date saturday morning. i can't pick them up until sunday, that means. but on sunday, that's a huge way out of my way. so, we are getting to monday (i'll be alone in the duck, so that might be just the thing to cheer me up). of course, there will be people visiting from various areas, so the should be people to hang out with. steve said that it would be about a week. i can't do tuesday. well, maybe. if i skip right out of earth&sky, then i'll have 3 hours to get the glasses. tuesday is doable. berely, but doable.
i've had these glasses for way too long. almost 3 years for one set of glasses. the size hasn't even been adjusted, either. that's a little rediculous. in 4 years, my eyes have only changed <1/4th of a unit/degree/whatever eye perscriptions are measured in. my eyes used to change >1/4th of a unit every 4-6 months. dr. fox was amazed at how sharply my eyes stopped changing. guess what happens when your optometrist is an rpi alum? a 20 minute exam turns into a 45 minute chat.
ok, i have a declaration to make. just so that everyone knows that i first had the thought to help and then i realized the interesting position that i put myself in. background first:
as of last night, the arts department still hasn't realized that john nethaway wasn't the choir director.
this means that they haven't yet hired sue.
the union realizes that sue has been hired, but rpi needs both the union AND the arts department to hire her in order to grant her a RIN.
without a RIN, sue can't access the membership list, she can't see the last list, she can't see the budget, she can't DO anything
stacie has been sue's right-hand woman this year. (stacie is a God-send, i'd say that even if i wasn't her roommate ;-) )
stacie was willing to help sue see the budget
stacie is going home this weekend.
i volunteered to help
i don't have access to the budget because i'm not a choir officer.
i can now make the network think that i am stacie.
i'm going to be stacie so that i can help sue see the budget
the soonest day that i can do this is saturday afternoon.
on thursday, at church choir, i'm going to ask sue if she'd like for me to come over sat. afternoon to help her with the budget.
