Ok so it's a bit after the weekend ended, but needed the recovery day. Saturday morning was spent playing with the kids and doing some laundry. We also got our new headboard though my impromptu leg supports made from 6" lengths of 2X4 are just not gonna cut it. So we might be getting the footboard too. That evening got to help my brother-in-law and his wife paint their living room and hallway. We were going to try and get the dining room and kitchen painted but it was late and we ran out of time.
Sunday was a day of relaxation for the most part took the girls to Grindstone Charley's for lunch as we didn't want fast food. I gotta tell ya though it was not worth the money. The portions were small and there was no chicken in my wife's chicken and dumplings. Just not a good experience. Won't be going back there anytime soon.
Anyhoo that night we went to the Nutter Center to see Motley Crue! It was a kick ass show. The guys can still wail though Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx didn't do much moving around the stage but both of them still play like masters. Tommy Lee wailed like a bat outa hell, and Vince Neil still screams like the olden days. A sweet custom came out for the intro to Girls, Girls, Girls it was hot lookin! About 2/3 through the sho Tommy jumped off the stage as a funky drum loop played, ran down one side of the floor, and into the middle of the arena. He was hooked and hoisted up into the air by a harness rig. It moved him to one side of what looked like a lighting platform when we first got there but he began to wail on some from of a metalic kit(very Stop like) and he would stop lead the crowd on an echo chant of, "Hell Yeah!! ... Hell Mother F****n Yeah!!" then slide over to another kit and wail on it for a while. It was SWEET! Not to mention that the whole array of the carnival from hell including tons of pyro flames, sparks, and bangs and half naked chicks running around the stage added to the enjoyment. Of course the infamous Tommy Lee T***y Cam came out, of which many were proud to share their goodies. A good time was had by all and I also got introduced to Blue Moon which is an Ale I believe that you add about a shot of OJ to or an orange slice and it is sooooooo good. Hung with da wife and some friends and had a blast!
Monday woke up with a hellacious hangover, but still remembering the fun. Was able to get up and rid of most of the after effect before I came into work so needless to say if you're a headbanging old school rock head to and see the Carnival of Sins tour and you're in for a wild time.
Well I'm off to get back to work.
