I've finally gotten the trail gator installed on my & Patrick's bikes - it works fine, but having it & the toddler seat makes for a long set-up - helmets on all 3 of us, Ian in up front, me next, then Patrick in back. I managed to install the front bike seat (i-Bert front child seat) yesterday during nap time, and test it just after Patrick got home from school. It works well enough that I've removed the old rear-mounted toddler seat.

Notes on this seat:
* I can still use my front panniers!

I just realized the solution to wanting to tow Patrick & carry Ian on my bike at the same time is to replace our existing cheap rear toddler seat with a front mount seat. I've already ordered an i-Bert front child seat which, if it fits with me & my bike, means I can use a Trail Gator to tow Patrick's existing bike; provided I also switch out his ( Read more... )
