the best possible prequel/sequel for back to the future
this is what should happen:
the film begins at the end of back to the future, when marty asks "so how far are you going?" and doc says "oh, about 30 years - it's a nice, round number" and marty says "look me up .. when you get there. i guess i'll be about .. 47." the scene is filmed in the same way as the opening scene of bttf2; a split between original footage and new action. the original young marty is used, and all of the age-makeup doc shots are replayed by the modern christopher lloyd. instead of staying with marty as he waves and walks to the house, the camera goes with doc into the future. essentially the film chronicles the older 1986 doc interacting with older 2015 marty and jennifer to devise the plan for the redemption of the mcfly family. doc could also have further episodes as well, before going to the rejuvination clinic and upgrading the delorean with flying circuits.
the best part of this outline is that the actors who were previously wearing age makeup would now be the appropriate age for the character. you can use the entire cast as long as the action takes place in the right time. brilliant!
