Yesterday Lil' C and I saw the newly released Disney film The Princess and the Frog. And I cried. This happens quite a bit when I'm watching animated movies. Read more about that phenomenon and a mini-review under the cut.

1) A billboard on southbound I-75 touts "Forty flavors of beef jerky'.  Why?  Do we really need so many?  What's wrong with just beef-flavored?

2) No less than four billboards advertised fireworks factories at exits nine and eleven.  Is there a hospital at exit ten?  This level of marketing is baffling to me because the only legal fireworks in ( Read more... )

No, it's not what you think.  I have no yummy food pics to display.  What I offer instead, friends, is a movie rec and then some.  Earlier this week I saw the charming Julie and Julia.  Because the movie was recently released and had a big marketing campaign, I'm certain you already know the basic subject matter.
