just wow
what a weekend.
Live 8 was simply incredible, i feel so lucky and priviliged to have been able to be a part in the greatest music event of my lifetime, all the acts were just brilliant (except perhaps mariah and snoop dogg :p) and i really don't think that i could have created a better line-up based on the music that i listen to. acts of the day for me were coldplay (i'm sure everyone expected that!) and robbie williams, who was just awesome, surely there's no better crowd song than Angels, which captured the atmosphere brilliantly. i didn't mind the fact that we couldn't really see anyone on the stage, even though we were less than half way back, or that toilet breaks were 13 hours apart (!) because just to be there and to be able to say i was there makes up for everything, as well as the fact that i hope i was part of an event that will really make a difference. the music, the atmosphere, the whole day was amazing, something i'll never forget that's for certain, but it means nothing unless those 8 leaders do something significant this week in gleneagles. however much i enjoyed live8 this weekend, i hope that i never have to be part of something like that again.
