1) Where did you begin 2008?
At Cream in the Eden Arena, with Neville and his friends.
2) What was your status on Valentine's Day?
In love with Mark (and his official girlfriend, finally).
3) Were you in school anytime this year?
Constantly.
4) How did you earn your money?
Uni stipend, parents' pocket money, a couple of odd animating jobs, a few hours at Lustrarte, uncle's pocket money, Christmas presents, extra money from parents for travelling etc.
5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Yes, to see my cousin at the ITU (he's completely fine, he just had to go in for observation or something), and another time to the pharmacy.
6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
I don't think so.
7) Where did you go on vacation?
I went to Brussels and Strasbourg (and passed through Luxembourg) with MEA people in June, to London with Mark in July, to Scotland and England with parents in August, and to London again with Mark in December.
8) Did you buy anything over $1000?
Definitely not.
9) Did you know anybody who got married?
I heard a couple of people who got married, but no one close or anything.
10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
My old piano teacher, a friend's mother, and well-known people like Sir Anthony Mamo, etc.
11) Did you move anywhere?
I'm practically living at Mark's.
12) What concerts/shows did you go to?
Way too many to list. These included Avenue Q, Spamalot and Oliver! at the West End. The Genital Affair in April I think was really cool too. And I've seen lots of Maltese productions.
13) Are you registered to vote?
Yes, and I did, this year!
14) Who did you want to win Big Brother?
I didn't watch the English one this year, and if there was a Maltese one, well I didn't watch that either.
15) Where do you live now?
Still at home with my parents.
16) Describe your birthday.
Um, 19. Not very fancy. I met Chantelle at uni in the morning and she gave me an iPod shuffle (AAAA PURPLE!) and then I met Annie at Valletta and we had pasta in a place in front of the Co-Cathedral, and then I spent the rest of the evening at Mark's. Wasn't very special or anything. I always get such a distaste for parties or dinners or get-togethers when my birthday is approaching.
17) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2008?
I can't think of anything big. Ooh, I wore something that revealed my bare legs in front of an audience (three times!), I went abroad alone with a boyfriend TWICE, I went abroad FOUR times in one year, I ate frog's legs (mmm yummy!), I found The One (I hope!), I started to find Law bearable, I lay on a roof with a boyfriend and looked at the stars, etc etc =)
18) What has been your favourite moment?
Too many. Previous years don't even match up to a WEEK of this year. Mark has given me a special moment at least every day :P (ok, that sounds like a euphamism, but it isn't!!)
19) What's something you learned about yourself?
I do deserve the very best.
I still need to grow up.
I'm not very able to form solid opinions.
I still need to find something I'm really passionate about and really good at.
20) Any new additions to your family?
I don't think so.
21) What was your worst month?
Hmm, January was very tumultuous. End of May/beginning of June provided me with exams, and on the night before each and every one I spent at least an hour crying about how I hate everything and how I know nothing. Not sure which was my worst month. 2008 has been a pretty fantastic year.
22) What music will you remember 2008 by?
Cheesy music played by Mark in his cinema room (especially Chasing Cars).
23) Who has been your best drinking buddy?
Chantelle, obviously!! (note to Annie: we need to go on a drinking night out.)
24) Made new friends?
Sort of. People in my course, people from Insite, Mark's friends like people from Medicine, um..... Mark's sister and parents are big chunky new people!
25) New best friend?
No. I am actually losing touch with my original best friend (Chantelle) too much for my liking. EDIT: of course I have a new best friend!! MARK!
26) Best night out?
There were very few 'nights out' (with friends or partying), but evenings out with Mark were practically always great. We once went to Bacchus in summer and it was fantastic. In London some nights out were great too. And theatre/dinner nights out with Annelise were so fun :)
In 2009 I am looking forward to:
travelling more!
becoming a better person
being Mark's girlfriend for longer and longer and longer
aiming at getting good grades (hopefully!)
entering my TWENTIES AAAAA
and so so much more.
