okay, am I daft or is this a little odd...we're a women's college and yet we're promoting activities such as these? Let me know what you think, I think it's an outrage.

Hi,
I'm all in favor of SAC sponsoring events and activities but I would just like to point out that it makes me uncomfortable to think that we are a Women's College and yet we're promoting a dance where women are portrayed as "hunted prey". And what kind of statement are we making as a Women's college that encourages their students to partake in some backwards submissive role playing that is suggestively degrading and discusting. I personally would like to belive that all Converse girls have more integrety and class to consider themselves "prey" and that our own organizations would not promote activities that encourage us to take on such harmful roles. I see this as a blatent slander against women and I must say I am disappointed with Converse. I would hope that Converse would promote dances and activities that would advocate a positive role for women and not one where once again we are subjuctified to no more than sexual play things to be hunted by all mankind. I apologize if I have ranted to the wrong person, if I have made this mistake please forgive me. If you could perhaps direct me to the right person I'd greatly appreciate it. I must say also I am very happy for all SAC has done for Converse, but this dance theme was very shocking and disappointing to me. I know I am not the only one who holds this opinion, I have heard several girls comment on how it creeps them out. I am just sharing my opinion to perhaps suggest you re-evaluate this theme, and realize the impact it may have on our community. Thank you for your time.

Maybe I'm just getting my panties in a twist over nothing...I don't know. Respond to them if it pisses you off...or throw an ice cold bucket of water over my head if you think I need to chill out. You do have to watch it with us red heads...we are a bit hot headed. Any who...have a lovely night ladies.
