1. Who are the NPCs / supporting cast members in your character's life?
Clarence Bell: Clarence was Claire's first client at Crane, Poole, and Schmidt, later her assistant and later her boyfriend. When Claire vanished from the show but Clarence remained, I had them break up.
Jeffrey Coho: He arrived with Claire at Crane, Poole and Schmidt during the third season. The show presented them as mostly friends. I did find the text of a deleted scene that implied they dated and decided to use that.
Claire's Parents: We're told on Boston Legal that Claire was abused as a child. She still goes back to visit them on holidays and things.
Kari: Claire's best friend. She lives in Queens, New York with her husband and kids. She was a legal secretary at Crane, Poole and Schmidt: New York.

Assorted dates
2. How much detail do you put into them?
For the characters that have appeared on Boston Legal, I put whatever detail the show has given them and maybe a few other little things here and there.
Those that are my own invention are really on a character by character basis. If, for example Claire has one date with a guy he gets less detail than a character who she has more than one date with.
3. Do you choose PBs for your NPCs?
Sometimes, like I think Claire's friend Kari looks like Leah Remini. Her parents have no specific look, neither do most of her dates and obviously the characters from the show are the actors that played them.
4. Do they ever have their own stories / speaking roles?
Not really aside from interactions with Claire. Since her LJ is hers, I try to keep Claire as the focal point of a large number of the posts.
5. What roles do the NPCs play in storylines involving your character?
Usually, it's phone calls, emails or other small plot devices like that.
6. Has an NPC or supporting cast member ever stolen the show and become one of your main characters?
No.
7. Have you ever killed off an NPC to support a plot or storyline? How did it work out?
Nope.
