life with Steve

I was talking with Steve via email at work today. He's been flip flopping about staying in or getting out of the Army--that's nothing new. A few days ago, he was thinking about getting out. Today, he wants to stay in...lol.

He devised this plan of what the future would entail if he stayed in. In 2 years, he'd get into some security program thing in DC--we'd move there and stay there for at least 2 years. He'd be non-deployable. He'd work 3/4 days. He'd actually be around.

And eventually, he'd have to go to some other Army course so that'd mean moving again to Ft. Leavenworth, KS, for at least year. But again, he'd be working shorter days, weekends off type of deal.

I HATE moving with a passion, but I guess it'd be worth it to actually have my husband around, especially when kids come into the picture.

Steve did the math and figured out that of the 5+ years we've been together, we've only been "together" for 18 months of it. Isn't that crazy? Between deployments, long distance and just Army life in general, that is a LOT of time apart.

And I've decided to finally let my hair grow long again. I think I'm done with the A-line look. I think my hair will be at a decent length for homecoming :o) We're almost 1/2 way done!

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out when to go to MA to see my family. I was thinking of going around xmas time, but if Steve is coming home from Iraq in Jan. and we were already planning to go to MA then, I'm wondering if I should just go up earlier or just hold off until Steve comes? I emailed my mom to see what her opinion was so I'll just wait and see.

Tomorrow is Friday and pay day...thank you baby Jesus! Whew!
