Tomorrow marks 3 months since Steve's left for Iraq--1/4 of the way there! I think time has passed fairly quickly. I have a lot of things to look forward to in the upcoming months which I'm sure will make the rest of the deployment go by just as fast--we've got the cruise in 2 weeks, my brother and his GF are spending their spring break down here

one of my friends at my mom's work I graduated HS with her son he's from ft hood and crewchief or something with the blackhawks and I remember before it was on the news that that was the area that he was in :( I have been scared all weekend for my mom to go into work this am and find out he was on it :( he's the same age as me and this is his 4th time over there :(

and DAMN what a small world in another sense as big as ft hood is to have 2 people even that remotely close in location :)
Didn't something happen to their mess hall a while back? I remember they had a big drive at the hospital because I want to say the mess hall got bombed ? My mom and I have been sending packages since he told his mom I sent the best ones but I guess thats from experience LOL

and Im excited for the CA trip!! I feel good knowing I've bought my ticket and SD card already because I don't have to worry about spending that later;) I hope I get a new camera for my birthday because I'd love to have something better before the trip...

Haha, yeah, it gives us less to worry about...just gotta worry about the rental car, food, tips and taxes...pretty much it!
