a pooch and a bird
So, I let the dogs out to do whatever and I hear them going crazy! I go over and I see this lil' baby bird that fell from the nest (well, actually it's an open bird house that hangs from our house the previous owners left). Dakota was very curious and would slowly creep up to it.
The poor thing wouldnt stop chirping and I could see the Mama Bird near by in distress. Cody wanted to play with it, but it was so scared & I was afraid she'd hurt it so I had to shoo her away and cup the birdie in my hand to bring it back to its bros & sisters.
I climbed on top of the dog house to put the lil' bugger back. I peeped over and probably knew why the lil' thing wanted to fly out--the nest is covered in poo! LoL..I know poo eminates heat, but it's already a bazillion degrees in TX!
After I put it back, Dakota was still looking for the bird. She would walk all around the dog house and look up at the bird house. Even after we went back inside, she kept looking out of the window...she probably wants a my-size buddy since Salado is 5x her size.

Well, other than that excitement, I went to FINALLY print pix from our honeymoon pictures from Hawaii some 3 months ago. But, at least they're done so I can put it in our special Hawaii photo album.
I also started the thank you cards...man, I'm so bad at this stuff. I have all the envelopes addressed and I bought 3 books of stamps today. I'm hoping Steve and I can have all the cards written out by the weekend so people wont think we're ungrateful brats..lol.
This weekend will be a busy one! Friday, we're going to a Round Rock Express game with Lisa lkf03 and Chris, Saturday we're going to the Austin Zoo & seeing Willy Wonka & Sunday we're having a BBQ & going to yet another Round Rock Express game (hey, the tickets were free) with Fred, his kids and ex-wife...busy busy busy!
