the peeping window
In our master bedroom, there's a massive window. It faces the front of the house--hence all of our neighbors across the street. In the picture, there are 4 panel curtains on a curtain rod, but up until yesterday those curtains did not exist.
Ok, so at night if it's dark outside and you turn on the light inside, what do you get? EVERYONE LOOKING INTO YOUR HOUSE! So, to lessen the "hey look in our house" feeling, we turn on only the light on the nightstand because at night, Steve and I shower before going to sleep so when we get outta the bathroom it's a peepshow.
The other day, I walked out of the bathroom after a shower into the dim room and I could see the neighbors across the street in their garage (if you can see them, then can see you mentality) so I ducked behind the footboard..lol. Then the other night when Steve and I were *ahem* busy with activities that required no clothes, after he got up, some car pulled up in front of our house with its headlights off! Of course Steve's by the window naked looking at them while I'm scrambling to shut the light off....oiiiiiiiiiiii.
So, to check out the visibility, I went outside and looked into our window. Even with the nightstand lamp on, you can see EVERYTHING into our room! Man, talk about feeling violated! I'm always like "they're going to see you naked" and his response is "well they shouldnt be looking" lol..
Yesterday, I invested in some curtains and went outside at night to test their visibility and we're good to go! You can barely see a silohoute which is just fine. When we get more $$, I want some blinds, but these will do for now...just as long as no one sees nakedness!

My interview yesterday went great! They interview you in pairs which may seem intimidating, but they were really cool :oP And they were both wearing jeans! Ha--I love it. I asked if there was a dress code and they were like "yes...no flip flops" lol. It looks like I'm going to get the job, but we'll see!
Steve finally signed me up for Tri-care so I have healthcare now..whoo hoo! But I have to wait a month before I can make any doc appts. so we found a chicky doc in Round Rock for me to go to..whoo!
Today, I'm making the drive to Fort Hood to meet Steve for lunch :oP
