Whoops!

I meant to post more often in May. That didn't happen. I'll try to do better in June!

So let's see. Art fest was pretty great except I really missed Keira and it got way too hot on Sunday and I overheated in a nasty way.

Last Sunday we went to World Steam Expo, which was fab! I've got tons of costuming ideas and such.

This Sunday, we're going to Taste of Ann Arbor. Hopefully it will be cooler than Art Fest was.

The weekend after that, there's a party for the June birthdays in the community, which will be much fun.

Then there's a weekend that as far as I know doesn't have anything scheduled yet.

And the weekend after that, we'll be in Wisconsin for my parents' fiftieth anniversary. They don't want a big party or anything, so we're going to do a family portrait and then take them out to dinner.

Haven't even really thought ahead to July!

While we were at the Con, my purse was driving me nutty since I kept not finding what I needed. So I did a relatively thorough search on the net to find something that would do what I wanted. I never wind up with a small purse (except for special occasion type things) but I tend to go back and forth between plenty of room to stash things and lots of pockets to organize things. My current/old purse is just one open bag with a hood to make keys easy to find. The new one has lots of pocketses! When you've got specifics in mind, it's amazing how, despite the variety of things available, there really are that many that meet the specs. I wanted an exterior pocket for my cell with easy access but not where it could just fall out. I wanted a pocket for my camera so it wouldn't hide at the bottom of the bag. I wanted a pocket that would fit a regular tarot deck. I needed a secure pocket for the wallet. And enough space for other odds and ends. What I found looks like it will work. The test will be on Sunday, when I've got it loaded with the usual stuff plus water and sunscreen, and will be walking around downtown Ann Arbor for a chunk of time.
