Update with craft stuff

Wow, it's been another week. I mean to update more frequently, but don't.

The semester is underway, in sort of a ragged way, since last week was a three-day week (Wednesday through Friday) and this week is a four-day week. Same sort of plan as last semester - no classes that I'm taking, doing research, teaching the same thing which has still not gotten boring. I do have a new co-TA since the previous one graduated and has a position teaching in Taiwan. (He's Taiwanese so that's a big bonus on location.) I sent my new co-TA my 89 pages of notes on the class lectures. I did most of that the first semester I taught this class. It's a piece of cake now, except when the papers come due. Seventy-five 5 page papers is a haul, no matter what.

The Polish equivalent of "a piece of cake" translates to "a small beer". I love that!

Yesterday, I hit two nice Labor Day sales - Jo-Ann's and Bath & Body Works. Bath & Body has a really nice sale about once every six months, and I stock up at those sales to last me until the next one. Jo-Ann's had lots of discounts plus a coupon for ten percent off your entire purchase, including already discounted stuff. They only do that sort of coupon a couple of times a year. I got a nice workout with it. I'm cross-stitching a skeleton pirate ship piece that I'm going to turn into a hanging for the doorway for Halloween. Hopefully this year, if I'm fast enough! I went to get backing fabric for that. I got three different possibles, since I'm sure some use will come up for the others. They're really cool!

I recently ordered a pendant from earthenwood's Etsy shop. I got some beads at Jo-Ann's (also a good sale) that should go with it to make a necklace for it. Rather than just hanging it on the plain chain I use for a lot of pendants. I really should make necklaces for some of the other pendants, too. Yeah, with what time? *g*
