Zombie Ceej
It's been a week since I last posted?! How did that happen?
Friday was a -very- long day. All the students and folks in the SEP program (the program I'd been teaching in) spent the last day of the program having fun. First, we took a bunch of pictures at the Sparty Statue on campus. Then we went to the state capital for a tour. Then we went to the zoo. It was fun and interesting and involved a whole lot of walking. And I wound up with some parts of me rubbed raw and a nasty headache that came on about the last hour or so of this adventure. Bleh. Came home and just about collapsed. Got home way later than I'd expected, too.
So I wound up not making bread or dessert for SciFi. We survived, though. *g*
Saturday and Sunday was the yard sale with urban_exotic and jadesfire55, with additional stuff from tawneypup and didizzle. It wasn't as successful as the previous sale. We did fairly well on Saturday. But Sunday morning, it rained (even though the forecast and radar insisted it was not raining when it actually was). We covered stuff up and went inside and watched Real Genius and finally the rain stopped.
After we'd packed up, we went on a quest for Thai food, since Lamai's Kitchen is closed on Sunday and urban_exotic was craving fried rice. Taste of Thai is pretty good, though not outstanding. The pad thai was a bit sweeter than I'm used to.
Today, I've felt like a zombie. I need to do laundry but I didn't get started until way late in the afternoon. Since Starwood, I've always had a backlog of laundry, never getting completely done. I need to take care of that. This week for sure, because school starts up again next week. But I'll be content with just some progress today, because I feel like a zombie.
