The yard sale was great! I didn't sell as much clothing as I would have liked, but I did get some of it out of the way and the rest is bagged up to go to goodwill or something of that ilk.
jadesfire55 and I were neck and neck in sales on Saturday, but she got a lot more than I did on Sunday.
urban_exotic, who brought the most stuff by a long shot, really moved a lot of stuff. It was a lot of fun to hang out with those two, chat with customers, and see what catches different people's eyes. The canopy, a loan from
holyscapegoat, was a tremendous asset. It helped display a lot of the clothing and textiles that caught a lot of attention. It also provided much-needed shade on Sunday. I managed to burn my head through my hair! I sunscreened most of me pretty thoroughly. I've never burned through my hair before! I suspect it was from a couple hours of really direct sunlight. It's ouchie! The green goo (aloe) doesn't seem to be bothering my hair, though, and the burn is healing pretty well now. I bet it's going to peel, though. Ewww.
It was a marvelous weekend, with the sale, and going out to dinner with wonderful company both evenings.
I keep wanting to stick an extra week in July. It's going so fast!

Looking ahead, our 13th anniversary is coming up. The anniversary is the 10th, so the party could either be the 8th or the 15th. Those are the Saturdays. Preferences?
What we're doing for the party is a re-creation of the Bad Movie Night during which we announced our engagement. Glen or Glenda, Repo Man, and Dead Alive In Glen or Glenda, the enthusiastically awful Ed Wood explores a subject near and dear to his heart. And his lingerie. Repo Man is not Repo the Genetic Opera. It's much older and very very strange. And Dead Alive, also known as Brain Dead, could probably be called the first RomZomCom, well before Shaun of the Dead. It's Peter Jackson in all his early, pre-Lord of the Rings glory. It's also gleefully grotesque with all the zombies.
