Two thoughts for the moment
A lot of the jokes about Steve Irwin's death are the sort I think he would have appreciated. I hope that when I die, people can make the same sorts of jokes. Not a bad epitaph, really.
And I can't drop this syntax course, even though I'm none too pleased with the way it's been presented so far. I just looked up the prof on the net, and he's definitely cool. Plus his disseration advisor was Chomsky himself! And he (the prof in question, that is) does really interesting photography. He may not be that good as a teacher, but I'm sure I'll learn a lot of from him anyway.
