Notafic! Shocking, I know!
Last weekend was the G20 in Toronto, which I know a lot of people have talked about. There are a lot of things I could say about the idea and effectiveness of the G20 in general, how much I respect the peaceful protests and how appalling the riot activity was. But I don't even know where to start, so I'm just saying that it happened and I was here for it and maybe at a future date I'll get into it.
This week is busy! Tomorrow is Canada Day, and I have no plans yet but I'll likely make my annual anniversary post, possibly with fic. And then this weekend is Pride! (Pushed a week later than usual to accommodate the G20.) I think I really need Pride this year, on some kind of spiritual level. I feel like I lost a lot of myself this year, and Pride always gives me that sense of community and belonging. Plus Cyndi Lauper is performing! It doesn't get much better than that. :D
And last, but not least, a couple of extremely awesome people have recorded podfics for a couple of my stories! I still gleeclapflail whenver someone wants to do something like this. I doubt I'll ever stop. :D
paraka recorded a podfic for
Aesthetic Alchemy (Adam Lambert/Misha Collins). Podfic is
here or
here and audiobook is
here. (I hope I got those links right.)
And
rhea314 recorded a podfic for
Philosophy for a Most Excellent New World, which is a Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure story that most people probably don't even know that I wrote. :D You can get it
here.
