Of Myths And Monkeys

Wow, no update in three weeks. Not like I have anything TO post an update about, but when have I ever?

Long day at work. Seniors at the high school have to do a graduation project, and everyone on staff has to help in some way, being on three person commitees for each student. Despite the fact that the senior I'm working with withdrew, I had to go anyway. So I sat there for an hour and a half and did nothing. Ah well, I still get paid for it.

I picked up quite a few books which I don't seem to have time to read, but I bought them anyway. I'm too lazy to list them all, so I won't. I also snagged a few games that I've been meaning to pick up, but haven't for one reason or another. Shadow Of The Colossus for PS2. Fantastic game, amazing graphics. Wish it was a PC or an Xbox game though. It would look so much better. The Doom 3 expansion pack. No description needed here. Gun + monster = bloody fun. Homeworld 2 is sitting on my desk, awaiting an installation. I'll get to it soon. And Myth 2 is in the mail. A certain person who shall remain nameless would never cease in his urgings that I purchase it. So I finally broke down and shelled out the $2 for it. I also got a copy of Age of Empires 3, which is good fun. Can't wait to start slaughtering my friends in this one!

Monday at work, I was told to call my dad as soon as I had the chance. When you get pulled out of your job to make a phone call, you always assume the worst. Though I assumed I knew what it was about, and I was happily proven to be right. I was told that my brother was in Kuwait. His year-long assignment in Iraq is officially over. He called last night to say that he was in New Jersey. And he called today to have mom pick him up in Pittsburgh at 1:00 AM. He got three days to come home while his paperwork is processed. He'll go back to the armory for a few days, but after that, he'll be done. Obviously, everyone is happy to hear that.

Maybe my next entry will be shorter. And no, the subject has absolutely no meaning at all, it just sounded cool.
