One more day 'til T-Mode
I just finished packing for T-Mode. Now my travel plans have changed; I'm going to meet Nai at her place in Newark and leave from there. Peter was going to drive down by himself but I suggested he should go down with Nai & myself. It worked out for the better. Saves mileage and wear-and-tear on the car. Plus, I'm driving down to Hampton for Nekocon in November, so that's a 5+ hour drive right there. I made a "dry run" to Nai's place according to Google-Maps (no way I am ever going to trust Mapquest again...EVER!!), and getting there was quite easy. Google-maps was much more comprehensive and easy to follow. I also picked up $100 in travelers checks for T-Mode and found out AAA will no longer issue travelers checks effective September 15th, due to fraudulent abuse and forgery. I always carry travelers checks when I go to cons, plus some cash. Thankfully, I feel a bit better now than last weekend. Saturday, I went to work I felt warm (body temperature wise) and stopped up. It got worse as the night progressed, my temperature was 97.5 degrees, so I called the answering service 'round Midnight and told them I was calling out due to sickness. And I was going to go see Satoshi Kon's "Paprika" at the Cinema Center that night. GRRRRR!!! Well, there will always be on DVD sometime soon.
